As a WESSA Eden volunteer, I helped coordinate the Kaaimans Beach Cleanup! And even though we had a cool and wet morning, we had a great turnout – with the brownies & scouts, the Cango Wildlife Ranch group and other citizens eager to do their bit arriving in raincoats and ready to start working!
With the wonderful rains that fell during Friday night, we couldn’t reach Kaaimans beach, but opted to clean the pathway and roadside leading to the beach. And a good thing that we did! Alltogether about 58kg in 11 bags, collected from less than 1km of roadside pathway. The current plan is to return and clean Kaaimans beach on Saturday 7 October. Will you join us?
