This sculpture is a monument to a farm animal. Each animal on this planet has a life, and a life worth protecting and respecting. Our animal agriculture industry is a machine that not only kills billions of animals daily, but also allows the animals to suffer greatly. One of the ways we justify using and killing animals is because of our legacy and history of animal use throughout documented history, including Christian ritual and animal sacrifice. Due to the current large demand and corporations’ drive for profits, workers are not able to pay the same time and attention to each animal being slaugtered, being shaven, or transported, leading in great suffering and unnecessary deaths.
