Janet Botes is a South African mixed media artist. Through her work she aims to inspire awareness and respect towards all living things and Mother Earth - preserving biodiversity and a heritage for future generations.
Currently her art focuses on healing and reconnection as a theme - respecting natural rhythms and cycles in nature that facilitate emotional and physical healing for us (humans) as integral part of the environment.
The environmental crisis is an urgent prompt for us to live in harmony with the planet, with animals, with each other and the landscape. I hope to inspire this healing and reconnection through my drawings, paintings, small sculptures, Land Art and new media work. I also facilitate workshops with the aim of helping people develop and explore their own inherent creativity.
